Life is full of surprises for all of us. What we thought our day was going to turn out to be is very different from the reality of what the day becomes. The same can be said for our life in general. I was raised to be a diligent, hard worker that seeks excellence in everything. Many times that bordered on perfectionistic behavior because when I was too directed in my personal behavior, situations or environments would arise that I was totally unprepared for and had no clue how to respond. Frustrated, I had planned a direction for my life and then expected to execute it perfectly, only to see someone “change the rules” and not go according to my plan.
